£30k Guarantee

At The Careers People, alongside our partners at MYPATH, we're committed to promoting the careers sector and the professionals within it. We've launched the £30k Guarantee campaign to advocate for fair pay, ensuring that careers professionals earn no less than £30,000 per year for full-time, term-time roles.

We, Jamie Pywell (Managing Director of MYPATH) and Jess Pieri (Founder of The Careers People), had seen too many job adverts offering insulting salaries as low as £17,000 per year. It's time to raise our voices and advocate for fair compensation in our sector.

Resources

We're creating a suite of resources, including letters that can be sent to organisations not offering a £30k minimum salary, to help them understand the benefits of fair pay. We're also providing templates for careers professionals to use if they feel they're being paid unfairly.

Additionally, we've developed a set of resources for employers who commit to the £30k Guarantee, which they can use to promote the campaign and demonstrate their commitment to fair pay for careers professionals.

WE'RE COMMITED TO PUSHING FOR FAIR PAY IN THE CAREERS SECTOR

We’re excited to announce that we’re going one step further in our commitment to the £30k Guarantee campaign. Together with MYPATH, we’ll actively promote job adverts from organisations that align with the campaign and commit to paying Careers Development Professionals a fair salary of £30,000 or more.

By leveraging both the MYPATH and The Careers People networks, we’ll support these organisations in reaching a broader audience and recruiting exceptional Careers Development Professionals who share their vision for fair pay and high standards in the sector. This initiative not only reinforces our advocacy for fair pay but also helps connect top talent with organisations that value and respect their expertise.
