Hi, I am new to guidance after being a career leader for nearly 5 years. I am looking to train and have seen Complete Careers may be the best. I am wondering about the time, I have a little one at home and have just started in a new role. Do you think it would be possible for me to train this year or let myself settle into role first?
Thanks in advance :-)
Hi Faye. I did mine prior to my children being born. I think with a good level of organisations (and maybe a few late nights!), you would be ok. Others may have more recent experience. I will do a shout out on the virtual coffee tomorrow to see if I can get a few more people to share their experiences on this post for you. Thank you, Jess

Hi I've been a careers adviser a long time but new to the combined lead and adviser role in my county. Anyone in the same boat like to buddy up or perhaps someone who is a year or two ahead of me who could provide a bit of moral support/tips etc?
Hey Katie, are you coming to the virtual coffee Friday? I'll do a shout out about this post and see if anyone can help! 🥰

Repeating this from the New to Role Circle :)
I attended a short and sweet webinar led by the lovely Liz Lloyd at UCAS which was about embedding careers into the curriculum. She went through some resources on UCAS hub - there are so many! I want to share here :) https://www.ucas.com/advisers/help-and-training/guides-resources-and-training/tools-and-resources-to-help-you/your-guide-to-the-ucas-hub

Hello and happy September, how are you all? Hope the term has started well!
I am very lucky to have received a pack of the new Get to Know You cards from TCP and am looking forward to using them next week.
Has anyone got a set? How have you used them? I'll report back later in the term with an update!

This time can work if I don't have an assembly or a CPD event but I tend to have these about 3x a year or so. So could just miss the Circle meetings those 3/4 Fridays as it's not that many.
