Strategies when working with SEN Individuals

As careers professionals, we are continually working to meet Gatsby Benchmark 3: Addressing the Needs of Each Pupil. This becomes especially important when we consider how we support our young people with SEND.

During this session, we will hear from Hannah at Above and Beyond Careers, who will share the framework she has developed to create meaningful employer and careers encounters for SEND students. The framework is designed to move beyond a “tick-box” approach, ensuring that each student remains at the heart of planning and delivery.

Following this, we will open the discussion for participants to share best practice and effective strategies for working with SEND students across a range of settings, including event planning, small group work, and one-to-one support.
